When Deployed Family Outdoors takes a family on a hunting or fishing trip, the experience does not end when we leave the ranch or dock.  Those families become a unique and special part of the DFO community in which relationships continue to grow and thrive.

​​ One of the most enjoyable experiences is seeing kids take one of their first animals and discovering the values and principles of hunting.  From the field to the table, Deployed Family Outdoors teaches kids hunting ethics and allows them to enjoy and learn every facet of hunting.  Whether its chasing South Texas Deer or following the gobbles of a Hill Country Turkey, we make sure our DFO kids enjoy the experience to the fullest.

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Deployed Family Outdoors feels that it is our American duty to give back to those who have provided and protected the freedoms and liberties that allow us to continue enjoying what we love to do.

​Whether its a kid's first fish or their 100th fish, the big smiles and bright faces are all a part of DFO fishing trips. Deployed Family Outdoors fishing trips vary in location, from freshwater Texas rivers to the salty coast, and even into the Louisiana marshes.  One thing that doesn't change is the excitement and thrill that kids experience reeling in fish after fish.

      Program

Deployed Family Outdoors has several programs to get the families and children of our Military into the outdoors. Depending on which time of year it is, we do everything from taking kids to harvest their first Deer or Turkey, to bringing them out to experience what its like to catch tailing Redfish and Speckled Trout.
